Get To Know Dr. Arpi Khare

Dr. Arpi Khare is proud to own and operate Arlington Pediatric Dentistry. Originally born in New Jersey, she moved to Williamsburg, Virginia in middle school. As she grew up, the medical field always appealed to Dr. Khare. She shadowed specialists in multiple fields, then fell in love with dentistry while volunteering at a dental clinic in college.

Dr. Khare loved the way that dentists were able to combine their love of science, artistic abilities, and passion for developing relationships, all while helping patients get out of pain and regain their confidence. Additionally, helping kids feel comfortable and confident has always been something Dr. Khare has been passionate about, so specializing in pediatric dentistry was the perfect path for her.

Dr. Khare attended the University of Virginia, for college before going to University of Maryland Dental School in 2009. She graduated at the top of her class in 2013, then immediately started her two-year pediatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning both her specialty certification and Masters Degree.

Dr. Khare believes in creating a warm, friendly environment for both kids and parents. She understands that no two kids are alike and each child requires an individualized approach to care. She dreams of creating a space where every child loves visiting the dentist and understands the importance of oral health. The best feeling for her is when she is slowly able to help an anxious child overcome their fears and ultimately be excited to come back for a visit!

Outside of the office, Dr. Khare’s two little boys take up most of her time, and she wouldn’t have it any other way! You’ll often find Dr. Khare and her family exploring new activities throughout the Arlington area or learning a new skill! Currently, she is attempting to learn piano alongside her 6 year old which will be a fun adventure!

What To Expect

The Experience

When you first arrive at our office, you'll check in with our team and your little one can enjoy our dedicated play area. Once it’s time for their visit, you and your child will come back to an operating room. For their comfort, we offer TVs with Netflix, noise-canceling headphones, cozy blankets, and more!

Then, one of our hygiene assistants will clean, polish and floss your child's teeth. This keeps them bright and shiny and reduces plaque and tartar buildup! If necessary, our team will take X-rays of their mouth to look for hidden problems, too.

Then one of our board-certified pediatric dentists will perform an oral exam to look for cavities, developmental issues, gum disease, and more.

Once that’s done, your child’s dentist will discuss their findings with you, as well as whether or not you need to schedule any follow-ups.  Your child will leave with a goody bag full of oral hygiene products to keep their mouth healthy at home too.

Finally, stop by our front desk again before you leave. We'll give your child an age-appropriate toy to reward them for their excellent work! We’ll schedule their next checkup or other appointment, then send you and your family on your way!
